EMERGENCY MEDICAL RESPONDER

Our Emergency Medical Responder course also comes with BLS CPR.

Do you need EMR or AFA? Let me help you decide based on your career goals.

Need to register with the Alberta College of Paramedics? Read below!

This is a Canadian Red Cross Emergency Medical Responder Certification program. The training is a higher equivalent than Canadian Red Cross Advanced First Aid. The certificate is a Nationally recognized EMR certification, and can be used for Employment across Canada, BUT: you cannot use this certification to register provincially with the Alberta College of Paramedics, as the Alberta requirement for EMR is now a 6 month program, and the cost is around $6000.00. If you want Nationally recognized EMR certification, this course will work for you. Though, as stated above you will not be permitted to write the Alberta provincial exam - but, you can still work for Oilfield employers that do not require Alberta College of Paramedic Provincial registration. Confused? The EMS pathway in Alberta can be hard to understand. Call Jarrett for clarification: 1-825-883-3582.
