Standard First Aid Recertification

Standard First Aid recertification may be available for students who hold an eligible current certification.

Standard First Aid with CPR-A recertification is 7 hours in class. Standard First Aid with CPR-C recertification is 7.5 hours in class.

Course length depends on the CPR level selected, whether the course is full certification or recertification, and whether the available course date is delivered in traditional or blended format.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for the full Standard First Aid course.

Students registering for a recertification option must hold an eligible current certification according to Canadian Red Cross recertification rules.

Certification

Successful students receive a digital Canadian Red Cross Standard First Aid certificate with the CPR level completed.

To receive certification, students must attend and participate in 100% of the course, successfully demonstrate the required skills and critical steps, and achieve the required mark on the written knowledge evaluation.
