Your AFA certification must be current within the last 3 years and from an approved AFA course provider in Alberta, or a Red Cross Certification from another province.
Program Highlights:
Course Duration: 12 hours of virtual training plus 16 hours of in-class time.
Locations: Available in Edmonton and Calgary.
Prerequisites: A current AFA certification from an approved provider.
Important Information:
This EMR course is approved for pre-hospital medical first responders including firefighters, law-enforcement officers, forestry and industrial workers, and oil and gas safety personnel.
EMR Certification is accepted in every province. However, it does not allow for registration of a "provincial license" with the Alberta College of Paramedics. If you have any confusion, please call us at 825-883-3582 for guidance.
